Hi, it all depends on the manufacturer on how they produce this remotes..
Mass production of product can cause malfunctioning of the remotes and might just last for a while..
The only way the problem can be resolved is if there is a universal remote in the market that can work with the system.I think that will help..
Also another way to rectify this problem is to get another brand of the system or change to another manufacturers.and see how that will last..
Take care...
Hello
What is the exact model number of your Jamo? Is it [i200 FM OM] or [i200 OM]?. Note it well and inform me by Fixya please. OK.
Hello Mark
In your orginal powt you specified that your set was Jamoi200, but now says it is i300. What is the correct model?. Anyway I provides this solution. Just examine whether your Jamos' remote control is working or not. Put fresh cells in it, and check. Point your remote towards the lens of a cellphone with a cmera option, after put the phone to cemera mode, press each button on it. Yoy will see an infrared rays image, for each push of button. Check this with all buttons on the remote control. If there is no image seen at the cellphone screen, your remote control is faulty and should buy a new one. If there is infrared image present on cellphone screen, the infrared sensor that senses the infrared rays from the remote control, which is inside the Jamo main unit is faulty, and should be replaced. there is no other fault can be. If you have its user manual refer to it. If you haven't it, either enter into the website I've given here or send your Email address to me by Fixya, I've the manual and will send to you by yahoo. The web address you have to serach is "owneres manual jamo.mht" Enter this address in Google search box and search. Almost all Jamo products' user manuals are there. OK.
Hello ...... The reason for the failure of an electronic equipment, which ever it may be, is not predictable. Some may work without any problem for years, and some might fail within days or hours. When and electronic equipent get fails, the technician, who ever he may be, first look into reasonf for the falure first. There will be soem reson for any fallure. Without rectifying the exact fault, some may do tripping technique, that is link some points inside the circuit to other to which he gets an output to satisfy the customer, and to get a reasonable charge from him. In your case, that has been happened I thinks.
Just contact the nearest Jamo authorised service center, not the distributer from whom you purchased the device, and tell them the truth. Your Jamo's internal circuits are tampered I thinks. Jamo is a good europian Brand, as I know. Do the needy. OK.
