Hi, got Kitchen Aid Artisan Espresso Machine. 5y old. Machine just started to brew coffee way to fast. Too much water coming too fast. Normal amount of coffee ready in 5 sec instead of 15-20.... Is this a common problem? Is there an easy fix?

Hi all, got a Artisan 5KPES100 and I'm not getting any water thru' the espresso boiler. Machine is making an occasional noise & sometimes just releasing a bit of steam thru' the espresso boiler, but no water. Have replaced the water pump, but still no water being drawn from the water tank. Hose is NOT kinked & there IS sufficient water in tank. Could it be the solenoid? Can I swap over the solenoids(coils) to check as frothing boiler is still producing water & steam? Any ideas would be magic.

Thanks Piers for the service manual! I was looking for that.I just had the same problem with my machine and I found out that the holes in the brew head assy (the plate that holds the shower screen) were clogged with coffee. I took it off, pressed a pin through the 5 holes and my machine is working again. Good luck!

I am contemplating buying this machine but i have just read many negativerreview on coffee snobs forum. Mainly issue with the steam boiler, guages and declining steam pressure over time. Any advice welcome...

The steam guage is rather slow to respond and the pointer has become detatched on my machine but it's working well and froths good after about 5 minutes from start up, although I do tend to leave my machine on all day and just make sure that there is sufficient fresh water in the tank

Gaggia baby 18 momths old water coming through steam bit but no water coming through coffe bit any suggestions libby

HI
If you have a pre-grind button on your machine, push it but don't put any coffee in the brew unit. Push any of the coffee buttons, and see if water will come out then. If it does not, then you have a plugged brew unit and the brew head needs cleaning. I have directions for cleaning.

My kitchenaid artisan coffee machine not enough water

if you have water out brewing without handle with coffee, than you check this 3 things:
  1. how fine is grinded the coffe, is it too fine for your machine?
  2. does pump make enough pressure to brew your coffee(you can measure if you attach an gauge to handle or steam pipe.
  3. by any chance your boiler security valve opens too soon and dont let pump to get the needed pressure. (perfect pressure is from 7 to 9 bar)

Krups FNC3 Espresso Machine

If it's only 18 months old surely it will still be under some sort of manufacturers guarantee, you don't bin 18 month old coffeemakers nor should you be paying to fix them. Put the problem back in their lap.
