Hi Guys Can anyone help.i have a samsung N510 laptop , its problem is that it can power on but nothing is being displayed on the screen.It works fine with an external monitor.i have tried to reseat the cables that go to the LCD at the back to the motherboard bt nothing worked , i also tried to use some key functions that i got from google bt nothing worked , so if anyone has a solution please help me out here

You may want to purchase a new back light for your screen the lamp has probably gone out. You can purchase them at the dealer site or try and find one on EBay I do not trust EBay purchases for these things I usually with something like this go brand new. If you need further assistance on this issue just post a comment I will get it and respond if you need assistance as to where to purchase one I suggest the manufacturers web site at Samsung. Post comment with model number and exact make for further assistance if needed.

That would be my repair for it. It is relatively east to replace without disassemble of the entire notebook. I would start there with that replacement. If that does not work then I would replace the screen. Since it works with another external monitor it is not the on board video card that is great news. Well obviously after trying all those things, the lcd panel is dead or the inverter and they or it will need replacing
