P 3300 , doesnot require any software in windows vista.
The active syn software that was used on windows xp is preinstalled on windws Vista. I have the same phone and it works fine without any software on windows vista .

Unable to connect HTC P3300 via Active Sync.
if you are using XP,install ACTIVE SYNC 4.5. if you are using VISTA or WINDOWS 7, no need any sync software. plug in the HTC to your laptop. right click on MY COMPUTER and select MANAGE. in the window that appears now, on the left hand side select DEVICE MANAGER. now on the right hand side see if you have any yellow colour icons. if YES,try to update the drivers. if nothing works out, try another PHONE to connect and use your phone to connect to another laptop. atleast this will give some idea as where the problem lies

Dear you can freely download Microsoft Sync 4.5 from Microsoft website and intall it on your computer in order to sync HTC P3300.

Disconnecting In the Home screen and across the top are some icons which show signal strength and data connection. The data connection on other HTC P3300 we can click on and it shows if connected or not and if connected allows us to 'disconnect'. This particular HTC P3300 only allows to go toComm Manager or Settings. To disconnect I have to go to Comm Manager and then click the data push option, then put tick in the connection I want to select and the click Disconnect. How to I get back the quick option in the Home Screen??????????? Help as I am having a really bad day so far and it's only 11am Thanks in advance
