My Lexmark x3550 only prints one page of multiple pages. I've checked my print setting and it all looks correct. I'm also having problems scanning and copying. It's a fairly new machine as I hardly use it. Any advise? Thanks much!

Slow printing I have a Laserjet 4200

For 34 Short Paper error, reseat the tray guides and make sure it is set properly. Also, set the correct settings in the computer. For blank pages, always double-check the paper settings and again the settings in the computer. For not printing black, print the Print Quality page and see what color is not printed or not showing. If Print Quality shows black, try printing any document from any application in the computer. Check if you still have the problem. If problem is not resolved, leave a comment so I can get back to this.

yes its definitely faulty or then the cartridges are, get it serviced or complain about the cartridges, the other one is faulty.

my hp printer and its cartridges print out 100's of pages... I don't have a lexmark but I know its not supposed to print only 20..

You may try to change the spool data format:

1. Click on "Start," "Control Panel," "Printers and Other Hardware" and "Printers and Faxes."

("Start," "Control Panel," "Hardware and Sound" and "Printers" for Vista...)

2. Then, right click on the Lexmark printer icon and left click "Properties."

3. Either on the "Advanced" tab or the "General" tab for some models, there is a "Print Processor" button, left click it.

4. This is the spool format setting. Under "Print processor" it should be set to "Lexmark *** series print processor." Next, under "Default datatype," select "NT EMF 1.008."

5. Click "OK" and exit back out to your desktop.

6. Try printing again.

Seems an unlikely solution, but I upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007.

As soon as I did this, I was able to print multi page documents. Go figure!

The driver could be corrupted or it is set to default to one page only.
When you bring up the printer's menu, check the setting for the number of pages; it should default to 'All.'
If you find nothing misset, try reinstalling the software that came with the unit.
If it argues with you because it has detected an existing installation, then remove the Lexmark software through the Control Panel, 'Add or remove programs' function. If you have to go that route, then remove that printer from the 'Printers and faxes' folder, reboot with the printer turned on and if asked for a CD, insert the one that came with your Lexmark.  

i dont know how to conect lexmark printer X4250 to my computer
