Have you taken any new pictures with this card? and you can't even see them? if this is the case the card may be bad but the cameria should display meneroy card locked or full or something. If it does'nt they you may need to rerset the camera and it's also possible that the cameria has failed.

I had taken around 80 photos on my camera Saturday night. Somehow, they all got deleted, I googled it last night and it told me to downloaded something to put the pics on my laptop from the memory card....

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones. Recommend that you try MiniTools listed on the site first.

I have sony cybershot model DSC-HX5.one fine day i click many photos of my friend party then later when i came home inserted the memory card in my laptop and go to see there are no photos found in the...

Vikram, first of all take no more pictures with the memory card. You'll need to use recovery software to recover your photos. There are very many freeware options for your to choose (here's a short listing with reviews). You'll need to use your computer's card reader with this software. Now AFTER you've recovered your photo's, you'll need to initialize (format) the card in your camera (DON'T use your computer to initialize the card). This will erase the card, but it will also help prevent this instance from reoccurring. Look in your camera's menus for the format option.

Memory card filled and I took more pictures. Seemed to put those on the internal memory. What happened too or how can I recover the memory card pictures?

Probably one of two solutions.
First, the memory card should have all the pictures intact. If you are using the camera to review, you may need to just keep going back until the memory card photos show.
Another possibility is that the internal memory supersedes viewing the card memories. You may have to run a USB cable to your computer, download the internal memory photos, and then you can possibly see (on the camera) the memory card photos. It might be a good idea to download those photos to your computer too, if the computer has a memory card slot. Otherwise you will have to go through them and download via the USB again. Once you know the photos are saved, you can either change cards with a new one , or clear the old card and start again.

Downloading pictures.

Hi,
Are the photo's stored on a memory card?

If so then i suggest you purchase a card reader, take the card out of the camera and put it into the the card reader, plug that directly into your PC and transfer the photo's to your PC.

If you don't have them on a memory card but on the camera's internal memory, put in a memory card and transfer the photo's to that using the camera's menu. Then you can use the card reader to get your photo's on your PC.

Card readers are fairly inexpensive and can cost anything from $2 - $40 (£1 - £25-30) Please post back if you require anymore help or advice. Regards.

Memory card will not show up on my computer.

Verbatim compact flash card has over 200 photos corrupted files. I volunteered to take photos for local senior anniversary I was the main camera now, I have lost the content. Files are Dcim--JPO, POG and worse coded files not JPEGs and I even with trial acdsee repair I am unable to rename and restore these photo files. CVS photo was able to open some of the files with their program but advised we would need to find the proper recovery program to restore some of the files.HELP
