Ady,
You did not mention what steps you have tried. and what the problem occurs when you try to format. It also depends which OS you are using.

There is a solution very easy to use. If you have Win98 or older version then try to boot with command prompt only aund then run FDISK. Using FDISK delete all partition and create new partions, then try to format and install your OS.

For Boot Disk you can surf/download from BootDisk (click here)

If you want detail help, please post your problem in details.

Thanks
Iqbal

WHILE EXPORTING THE TALLY DATA IN EXCEL FORMAT,ERROR OCCURED UNABLE TO SAVE FILE.PLEASE GIVE ME A SOLUTION

You can be getting an error notice when attempting to export Tally data in Excel format for a number of reasons.
You might attempt the following troubleshooting steps:

If you're trying to save the Excel file somewhere, be sure you have the right rights.
You might not have the required permissions to save the file if you are attempting to save it in a restricted place or on a network disk.
Try storing the file somewhere else, such your desktop or another folder.

Make sure you have enough space on your hard drive to save the file.It might not be possible to save the Excel file if your hard drive is full or nearly full.
Try removing unnecessary files or programs to free up some disk space.

Verify the file name and path for any special characters.
While saving the file, issues may occur if the file name or path contains special characters like slashes or colons.
Change the file's name while avoiding special characters.

Check to see if the Excel file is open already.
It might not be possible to save the file if it is open in another program or instance of Excel.
Close any open Excel windows, then try exporting the file once more.

A different format might be tried for the file's export.
Try exporting the file in an other format, such as CSV or PDF, if you are unable to save the file in Excel format.

If none of these fixes the problem, you might need to contact Tally support or your IT department for more help.

Message on LaCie Hard drive says Hard Drive is full, but I cannot clear

Ensure that your system drive C: is not full, or you get similar troubles. When the external hard drive start giving this kind of troubles usually it is becouse of a bad FAT, the only solution is formatting the hard drive. Store your 15 GB elsewhere and format it.

I have a WD 3200BEV External Hard Drive, and it won't show up on my computer. I was formatting but had to cancel it then it stopped working! PLease help!

Hello, on Windows 7 I was unable to have the OS assign an existing or new drive letter. I hope you were lucky enough to not lose any critical files (I'm not sure I was :-). But after numerous attempts of trying to recover the disc and even attempting to re-partition on both MAC and PC, I decided to delete the disk and reformat on Windows 7.

After deleting the partitions, I right clicked on the disk and selected "New SImple Volume." Following this wizard got my drive functional again.

Cheers

Unable to delete or fomat hard drive.

1) You cannot format the OS partition using Windows “Computer Management”

2) If you are trying to format another partition or another Drive in your computer and you can not do that thru “Computer Management”, then you can format your drive using a Windows Cd or any Partition Utility tool. (Using that you also can format your main (OS) partition)
