Hello I have a ASUS Eee PC 1005. How do you know if your video card is blown? I have some knowledge of computers but not this brand. I turn it on and 2 blue lights come on (the light bulb and wifi) but the screen remains black. I have troubleshooted by taking out the battery, memory card and disconnecting it from the adapter. Then holding down the power button for 15 sec. I put it back together, power it on and still nothing happens. I even hooked up an external monitor and nothing shows on it. So is it safe to say my video card it shot? Just need to know because my daughters ASUS is having the same problem.

I think you mean 800X600 to 1024X768 or higher.. The reason why you cannot increase the resolution and the bit color to higher than 8 or 16 bit color is because the incorrect video driver was installed. Download and install the correct video driver for your model laptop.

There is no "tm" symbol key on a keyboard, you need to enter an ALT key to type the trademark symbol.
Hold down the "ALT" key while typing 0153 and it will enter this: ™ when you release the ALT key
