Why don't you turn off your printer and restart.

What's the error code? There should be some letter on LED display.

I get the message "printer error has occurred" and please turn the printer off and on repeatedly with no change. This is the Epson Artisan 835

My Epson Artisan 810 repeatedly would give me the printer error message with the only option to turn off the unit and turn it on again. Over and over it would give me the printer error message. With the unit off, I opened the cover (like you would to replace the ink cartridges) and forced the CD tray all the way out like you are about to load a CD for printing, closed the cover, then started the unit up again. For me that did the trick. It went through it's normal 60 seconds or so of set-up, then worked fine ever since. Not sure if this will work for you, but it worked for me.

I changed the ink in my Lexmark 3400 printer and I keep getting an error message "cover open" and it's not open. I tried everything....unloading the software then reloading the software, shutting it off...

The printer displays a 'Cover open, please close cover' error message, even though the cover is closed.

This can happen if the lever on the cover open sensor is knocked off the switch assembly.

Ink cartridges cannot be recognized in canon printer

Hello!
Remove the cartridges and gently wipe the cartridge contacts with a dry cloth, then put them back in. Then, hold the "resume" button for 10 seconds for each cartridge, that should reset them.
If that doesn't work, one of your cartridges (sadly) needs to be replaced.
