I have a Kenmore Coldspot Model #78187891, with a leaky icemaker problem. The icemaker seems to leak near the front of the icemaker (closes to freezer door) and makes these stalactite structures. This slow leak ends up freezing in the ice tray and causes the other cubes nearby to freeze with the stalactite. Any suggestions on how to go about fixing this?

Most likely ice maker is the problem and would need replacing. Water valve is letting to much water in but the amount of time solenoid stays open is controlled by the ice maker

Hi, if the fan, evaporator fan is not running, it has failed on you. If you are up to doing this kind of work, you can replace it your self. It is a 120 volt evaporator fan motor, and if you can get it out, take it with you along with the name of the unit, model & serial # to an appliance parts house to get one. If they don't have the exact one, they have universal ones that will fit. This will solve your problem.

Hi is it normal that the middle Paleo that the doors close onto seems really hot? We have an American style fridge freezer, everything else seems ok, but I have never noticed it before!!
There is a heater in there to stop them freezing shut and damaging the gasket when you try to separate. Normally they are 'warm' not hot.. Not sure why the icemaker would make a difference.

Kenmore Coldspot Model 51572200 is leaking water all over the floor
On the bottom rear of the refrigerator as you are looking at it from behind the left side where the water is feeding into there should be a double valve. 1 is for the water and the other to the icemaker. Many times that valve won't shut off, however the switch that dispenses the water is evidentially bad and needs to be checked if it is stuck open.

I have a leak inside my Kenmore Coldspot Model # 106 72104100. It is not coming from the icemaker.
If the water filter is old the seals will leak into the evaporative tray overflowing it. Replace the filter or give it a turn to bypass.

Kenmore Coldspot not making ice
sounds like the flap that u can usually hear once the ice has stoppped coming out it sounds like a pop or thud ...what happens is the magnet goes bad and keeps the ice maker constantly open to the outside air causing ice melting and massive ice cubes.....usually a costly repair...check and lemme know
