OK. Speaker works/headphones don't! Sultanrajia, what is refering to! Audio Amp, play-back record, computer, radio, TV, all communication equipment. what. It could be broken wire on the headphone jack plug or it could the headphone aren't working. Maybe some bad wire in the headphone cable, faulty plugs.

By the way, do have a Night Visison optic devise that it can take a look into the night. Also, how does the spearkers and headphone work with the Night Vision Optics? stewbison

Lost sound in left channel?

I presume you are playing a stereo cd. Plug some other device, like headphones in to see if the computer is putting out stereo. Use the same plug as the speaker system is plugged into.
I presume you have swapped the speakers to test them.
If the speakers work, and the headphones work, it's the amp.

Phone output jack connector, this kind of connector acts as a switch that when you have your earpieces connected the speaker is automatically disconnected, and when you unplug your earpiece then the speaker activates, so there's your issue.

Power amp r b 981 no power to the speakers. Pre amp seems to be ok. Headphones work.

Check the headphone socket if it cuts out the speakers (normal use) when you plug the headphones in. If it doesn't and you have a switch to switch off the speakers when listening to headphones, check the switch. It may be physical damage or dirt causing the problem, or even loose soldering on the headphone socket. But the fact that headphones work shows the main amp is working. Also make certain the speakers are connected properly.

I have no sound

Try different speakers which you know are working if possible.
If the good speakers are also not working, then your Logitech speakers may be ok. Try plugging them into a different device such as iPod headphone jack, stereo headphone jack, etc.
Let me know how you go.
Hope this helps, Benji

Peavey minx 110 no sound from main speaker but headphone jack is ok. speaker wires are attached ok.everything on the board appears to be in good shape.amp powers up and all controls work great through...

Inside the headphone jack is a built in switching mechanism. It is there to cut off the sound to the speaker when you are using headphones to practice quietly. For some reason or another it seems as if this is no longer working correctly. One of the causes of this can be bad solder joints on the circuit board where this jack is located. Another cause is a failure of the jack itself. If you are capable, Take the circuit board out and have a look. Hope this helps.

No sound from speakers. Everything else OK.

If headphones work then so does the amplifier. When did this problem start? From what I can find it almost sounds like it thinks you have headphones plugged in, which would disable the speakers.

No sound

turn your speakers up and moisten your finger. touch the jack plug that inserts into the pc, if you hear the speakers buzz/crackle then they are ok. If not I would try a new lead if possible, else speakers are u/s as if headphones work then speakers should as well as use the same output from the pc, just amplify it unlike headphones. You could also check in the cpanel to see if your speakers are set to speakers and not headphones but to be honest I cant see this stopping the speakers altogether.
