That Polycom runs off of Analog dial tone. Either a dedicated line or in most cases from an ATA off the phone system. You should be calling your vendor/tech in that handles the phone system to check programming, cabel, jack and the Polycom itself too.
The SoundStation Premier and Soundstation Premier EX has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. Support for the product will be available until 02/21/2010.
You need to buy a Computer Calling Kit from Polycom. That is essentially a cable with a 2.5mm connector to the Polycom Soundstation 2W on one end and two 3.5 mm connectors to the PC Sound card end (one to the Microphone port and the other to the Speakers port).
I went to Admn Setup to reboot the system from Please Wait.... & it doesn't work!!

Just had this problem with the 'please wait' - go into the admin setup and select Reboot Phone - it then works!
Try adjusting the ringer volume, dial tone volume, and speaker volume. Make sure that the ringer type selection is not set to off. Also make sure that you are not bridging your call.
You can also use the Upgrade feature built into the phone to look for updates which may resolve your issue.
If this has only started happening recently, Restore the default settings and see if it resolves your issue.
