I forgot dell password, i just reset the password by the following steps,
Step1: Download Smartkey Windows Password Recovery Enterprise and install on any available PC.
Step2: Burn Windows password reset CD/DVD or USB to reset lost Windows password.
Step3. Set your locked pc BIOS to boot from CD/DVD-ROM or USB Flash Drive.
Step4. Reset lost Windows password to Re123456 together with the burned CD/DVD or USB Flash Drive.

To my knowledge and experience there is no such chip. If you HDD has a passcode on it the system stored it in an Hidden sector of the Master Boot record. If your talking about the BIOS password, then you should remove the power cable, remove the battery and look inside for the BIOS battery and simply pull that to clear the BIOS. On some systems there is a small RESET button that can be pressed on the back or bottom of the unit, if that is more of an IPAD style or tablet.

Well the bios password can be cleared by removing the backup battery generally located under the keyboard. When doing this remove the primary battery and the power cable as well.

As for the hdd password I I believe only a fresh install of the OS can wipe that. The Code its giving you is the product code that you would need to use when you call dell. They may be able to help with the hdd password.

Not all Dell code generators work on the the service tag ending 595B even though they state they will. Only Dell have the master password generator for that tag ending.

If you are the outright owner of the laptop and you can provide proof of purchase Dell will give you the code themselves for no fee.
