Panasonic DMR ED 30V -- remote does not have any effect on unit. Cannot turn on. Once TV is manually turned on, pushing ANY button on remote gives message ICHK REMOIE on screen. Cannot get any other reaction.

Simultaneously press the [CHANNEL UP] and [CHANNEL DOWN] buttons on the front of the DVD Recorder for approximately 10 - 15 seconds (until the unit powers off).

Disconnect the wall outlet. Wait for 10 minutes. Then power up.

Since the EUR7721x10 remote shipped with specific Panasonic DVD/VCR units, the manual for the DVD/VCR recorder may give you the information that you need. One of the models is the DMR-E75V. (Note: these codes will probably only work on TVs that are older then the programming in the remote.)

I do not know of any available manuals for the remote that are separate from the DVD/VCR Recorder manual. I hope this helps.

You can either go into menu (pressing 'FUNCTIONS' button on remote) and look for 'RESTORE DEFAULT SETTINGS' or similar heading, or you can (while unit is on) on the front of the unit (not the remote) press CH UP and CH DOWN buttons together for 5 seconds - the unit will switch to standby. Give either one a try. (refer to page 60 onwards in your user manual - these pages detail 'settings').

My DMR-E95H displays: "CHK REMOTE2" whenever I push a button on my "replacement" remote. Is there a way to reset the DMR-E95H without the original remote?

The Panasonic DMR-EH50 can be reset like it was brand new. I assume the DMR-EH55 can be also. The up and down channel buttons are located on the front of the unit behind the small door in the center. With the unit on press and hold these two buttons for atleast 10 seconds. This will restore the unit like it was new and you will need to go thru set up procedure. The above action will put the unit in the off position. When you turn it on it will guide you thru the set up procedure. Once this is complete you can press the setup button and manually set the clock, however, the unit will need to be shut down for 24 hours to allow the tv stations line-up to be restored.

hi you need to reprogram the remote to fit with the unit there have 3 codes for remote 1 or 2 or 3 to reprogram your remote with the code indicated on your display press and hold the [3] and [ENTER/OK] buttons together for approx 5 to 10 seconds, then release

Press ENTER and number 2 together on the remote control for at least two seconds to restore control.

I unplugged the unit. Replugging it fixed the problem, And it's an e46.
