How do you install a thermal fuse kit on a Magic Chef CYE4000AYW. Unlike other models it doesn't look like you can just take the back panel off; do you really have to take the top and back off?

The thermal fuse kit is accessible from the top of the dryer. Disconnect power and using a putty knife, release the two spring clips holding the top cover to the cabinet. Insert the putty knife in the seam between the top cover and the cabinet at about 4 inches from the sides. Lift the top cover when the first spring clip is released while releasing the second clip then lift the top cover to the rear of the dryer.

Magic Chef Dryer model MCSDRY35W. Where can I find the thermal fuse on it please?

This says it has two. One is always on the heater box, the other one is described as 'Air Exhaust Thermal Breaker', so would suggest just after the heater box and before the drum.

It may also have one that looks like this. Test all the parts with a multimeter, don't blindly replace them..

No power to my Magic Chef over the stove microwave oven. Is there a fuse that can be replaced, and where if so?

There should be a fuse and one or more thermostats or thermal cutouts.

We would need your full model number.

Magic chef dryer quit working

There is a thermal fuse inside the dryer usually located behind the back cover on the upper part of the combustion chamber. When this fuse "blows" it turns off power to the whole dryer. This keeps your house from burning to the grown, and you from dying. The fuse "blows" for a reason, most likely to is lint build-up in the dryer and/or dryer vent system. The good new it only cost a few dollars to get a new one. The bad news is you need to find out why it "blew", the dryer got to hot for a reason.

Dryer stopped working - cye4000AYW

The answer is likely yes. Look on the back of the dryer, for an open hole that seems to serve no purpose. using a flashlight, peer inside this hole, and any others like it, and look for some sort of button.
Also make sure power is disconnected before doing any of this.

Dryer stopped working

plumber, pop the top on the dryer by pushing on the two clips just under the top on each side. In the back you will see the heater. You want to check the high limit thermostat (this one sits on the top side of the heater) and the thermal fuse (sits on the side about 4 inches down. Unplug the dryer and check them with a meter. If either shows open (no continuity) replace them. Make sure your venting is not clogged up and the heater is not grounded or fractured. Part number for the high limit is 53-0771 and for the thermal fuse is LA-1053. Check these first...Catriver...post back. Unable to find your exact model, but I do have cye4000ayw. parts should be the same.
