Dvd+rw burner I have a khypermedia dvd+rw burner and trying to burn some .avi files to TDK DVD-R disk. Will this drive burn to the -r disk or do I have to have +r type disk. I have been using Nero but it will not burn to the disc.

what6 is the software u r using?

Perform an observation of the written descriptions located on the device burner. DVDR +W is indication of capacity to burn DVD R+W only. Usually, the empty disk has to be compartible with the burners specification to commnece downloads.

try different manufacture DVD. TDK, Memorix, imation, even the store brand.
usually the store brand works the best.
KHypermedia?? don't know, sound new to me.

Try to re-install the drivers for the drive.

Hi,
It could be a problem of the version you are using with Nero 7, try upgrading. It also could be that you are try to burn the DVD RW at a speed it cannot be burned (say 4x), try burning it at 2x.

get checked in itunes options or settings whether the ejection of the drive is check marked or not..

DVD / CD-RW is usually a a combo drive
DVD PLAYER with CD BURNER

DVD-RW is a dvd rewritable drive

try using TDK disks i rarely have a problem with them try doing a drive test using a blank dvd
