I have a dell laptop. it won't boot up at all. if you push power button, the caps lock light blinks a few times and then it shuts off. i had it checked out and he said the hard drive looked ok and mentioned something about the fan and or the processor. any suggestions. sometimes i can get it to boot up but it freezes up after a few minutes. please help!!! D 600 wont boot. on button flickers for about 3 or 4 seconds, goes out and nothing else happens.
Based on what the guy said, it could be a heat issue. The internal fans of your laptop may have shorted, meaning they aren't working. You should have them checked out for any loose connections or burnt out parts. Have any reconnected and replaced as needed. Opening it yourself with no prior experience to such a task can worsen the problem.
Yes this can be a opverheating problem that's why sometimes it boots up, if the processor is not working fine because of overheating you check first the cooling system of your computer liek the fan if they are working fine because if the fan is not working the way it should be working oeverheating may occur and will result to this problem...
Hope that helps.......
