Not sure what program you are using, an easy fix, is to rename your document to "Temp" delete all the pages that you do not want, copy the first / the only page you need, than delete your temp when done, the original file is intact.

I was copying a fairly large document and at some point the document continued to scan but stopped printing. The memory light is on and the LCD print out reads "printing" but it is not printing.

hello there, Sorry but the question is a bit confusing. Did the document finish copying or it copied half way and stopped? Or you were copying and printing it at the same time?
If you were copying and printing at the same time then the problem is expected as the procedure for printing is considerably faster than the copy process. Simply turn of the entire system either by proper shutdown or by just cutting the source of power to the unit. And this time copy the document completely first before you try printing. This should come up without any hassles.
Hope this support has been helpful?

Small office with 10 workstations and a SBS2008 server. We have a Canon IR5070 networked. The Canon prints fine when it is just one single copy of a document, whatever the page count. When the user specify...

Hello sisadmin,
I can imagine the "ear Traffic" you get from this problem not to mention the extent of your valuable time used to resolve the problem Although I am not an "IT" person such as yourself I hope I can help you understand that after 23 yrs of dealing with "T" of "IT" I might be able to help by using the fallback of KISS. Therefore I would strongly recommend that you consider the print driver as we start with the most simple. #1; the driver might be corrupt BUT more importantly you may not be using the UFR II driver that was specifically designed for the Canon device that is causing you to eat Rolaids. Yes a PCL driver will work 90% of the time. The Ultra Fast Rendering (UFR) driver is by far the desired print driver for this device as it designed to attempt to counter apps ( WORD) that prefer to override the end user's settings. And it's a superior driver in many other ways, for Canon devices. So I would say re-install the driver regardless. I bet you have already done this so please forgive me. And I bet you have already installed the UFR II driver (I had to ask). This does indeed sound like an instruction conflict as opposed to a device problem. But merely working on office equip for so long has done nothing more than say "nothing is impossible". But I'd be hard pressed to say anything other than the printer is responding to the instruction set it is recieving. I believe a strong troubleshooting tool would be to use a laptop. Unhook the offending device from your network and use a laptop with a crossover cable. Install the UFR II driver, and play. Pick out a document in a PDF format that resides on the lapper and ask for 2 cps. That eliminates apps and the network. I know you are rolling yours eyes and perhaps rightfully so. But that is bare bones. Might tell ya something. In the event that the symptoms persist, call the copier turd (me) and ask him to upgrade the firmware. Try to make sure (suggest) that when he does he uses the "OVERWRITE ALL" function. That way not only will NEW system software be installed but the existing software will be re- written. I hope you can tell that I genuinely want to help you, and I hope I have. I am not being paid by FIXYA, or at all. Just wanted to help. If i did help, let Fixya know please. Maybe they will thro me a bone. You take care and good luck.........................................SPINAL

I mistakenly sent a fax to a landline number and it won't stop calling them. How do I cancel the fax?

If you have no other faxes in queue then simply unplug the machine and this should clear the flash memory.

If you have other faxes in queue and do not wan to disrupt them then hit the red stop/hang up/call end button. It will ask you to confirm and then print out a fax confirmation with "STOP" listed as the reason.

Instructions for scanning on epson cx4300/cx5500/dx4400

Hi there,
Scanning the Document

Place the original on the glass.
1) Open the document cover and place your original face-down on the glass, in the upper left corner. Move your original about 1/10 inch away from the top and left edges so all of it will be copied. 2) Close the cover gently so you don't move the original . Caution : Never open the document beyond where it stops and do not place heavy objects on top of the CX4600. If you need to copy or scan a thick or large document, you can remove the document cover. Just open it and pull it straight up. If you need to press the document flat while you copy or scan it, do not press too hard and be careful not to move it. Caution : Do not use excessive force on the document cover, and do not twist it diagonally. You may damage the document cover. When you are done, replace the document cover by inserting the tabs back into the slots. Copying a document. 1) Load paper. 2) Press copy button until you see the desired number of copiesin the Copy window You can select up to 9 copies at a time. 3) Press the paper type button to select PLain Paper. The light indicates which type is selected. 4) Press the paper size button to select Letter. 5) If you want your copies automatically reduced or enlarged to fit the loaded paper size, press the Fit to Page button. 6) To make color copy, press the Start Color button To make black and white copy, press Start B&W button. The ON light flashes and after a moment the CX4600 starts printing. If you need to stop copying at any time, just press the Stop button. Do no pull out paper that is printing, it will eject automatically to the output tray. Hope this helps. Please rate my response. Thanks Have a good day.

MFC-6490CW, photocopy of 11x17 document prints 8 1/2 x 11 full scale image on 11x17 sheet. The image is centered on the 8 1/2 dimension, and located at one end of the 17 dimension. The rest of the 11x17...

First make sure you are not using "fit to page" as this feature does not work for legal size documents. To fix this problem we need to check several things. First, Press Copy, Load your document, press 1 for number of copies, press the up/down arrow until you get to "paper size" then choose legal (for 11x17). Press OK
It is also possible that your machine is set to reduce/enlarge size to less/more than 100%. If the first solution did not work start over, press copy, load document, enter 1 for number of copies, press up/down arrow to choose "enlarge/reduce" then use right/left arrows to choose 100% (again, do not choose 'fit to page') press OK. Once you have done this, you can set these as default if you like. Press Copy, press up/down arrow to choose new setting, press OK, press 1 to choose YES, press stop/exit.

Deskjet 3520. I mistakenly clicked on print a 200 page document when I only wanted 7 pages. I cannot stop it from printing. Tried cancel and even unpluging it and each time I reconnect, it continues to...

Click on control panel, then double click printers and faxes, then double click the printer you are using, a panel will appear, and you click on the document name you have entered, then click on document, then cancel and click yes when asked if you want to cancel the print job. It will take it a little while but it will clear the job you have entered.
