It sounds and smells like and element or wire or connection popped.

This may sound silly, but go check your circuit breaker and flip it completely off and then back on. Sometimes it does not completely trip and your clock only needs 120 volts to work which you have, but the heating coils need 240 volts. If you have an older house that has a fuse panel instead of circuit breakers you could have a blown fuse.

It seems to be self cleaning... burning all the oils that coats the inside from microwaving food that wasn't covered. Clean the oven well and to remove bad smells put lemon juice in a bowl and microwave.

So you have moved to a new house. I am assumeing that the Oven worked fine at the old house. I am also assumeing that you have plugged the Oven into your new house and that is when you noticed that it was not working.

If this is the case then the problem may be that the Breaker in the Electrical Sevice Panel of the new house is off. You need to reset the breaker and the Oven should then work.

Good morning, your oven most likely has a weak igniter. That would keep the gas safety valve from opening properly. It will get close to the required amperage but valve will only flutter and not allow enough gas to ignite. Hope that helps.

Hi, do you still have this microwave? For the case you want to throw it away: may I kindly ask you to leave the mounting frame to me? I do posess the same machine (bought with my kitchen in 2001), built in my kitchen board. When we moved last year, the workers who teared down the kitchen furniture, broke a part of the frame. Since than, I have asked in many places if it is possible to buy this part of the frame, but only found one shop. There I was told that I have to buy the complete frame, and it is so expensive that I flinched from buying it. So my idea is that I will pay you for the frame, if you agree with this.

sounds like the main gas line to the oven was shut off. you need to locate the line and look for the valve and turn in on.

suspect your electrician wired it up wrong
