If the back cover won't come off, try spraying a little (!) WD-40 on a Q-tip, then rubbing the oil around the edge of the cover. If you don't have WD-40, try olive oil.

This is funny. How do you know that it wount srart if you can't open the doors? Ofcourse the battery can be dead, but it is wery common thst the bodymodule breaks. That's the reason for doors not opening. Usually. There is lots of info availeble, just goigle e46 bodymodule. Startingproblem is something I need more info about. Unless the problem is dead battery.
These automatic side doors are extremely complicated and require a trained technician to repair wit the factory repair guides to go by, there are many adjustments to be made and sometimes that is all they need plus some cleaning and lubrication of the latch and moving parts. My best advice is let the dealer fix this.
sounds like the battery isnt given it enough umphs to turn it on and off. try going into the compartment and pull up the spring alittle to make better connection on the battery terminal. or it could be the motor to the camera is wearing out and needs replacing. the beeping sounds like the battery issue tho.

HAVE STARTER CHECKED REMOVE IT TAKE IT TO AUTO ZONE OR ADVANCE AUTO PARTS.SOUND LIKE A BAD STARTER HIT IT WITH HAMMER AND IT CRANK.
make sure battery cables are secure on or into the battery and not loose. If cables are loose it will cause your alternater to fail therfore not fully keeping battery charged. If battery cables are not loose replace battery.
Hi, You need to prise up the grill/cover that covers the speakers up and then side the keyboard up towards the screen, gently remove the plug to the Motherboard and you`re done.
