Unplug the one that gets caller ID and one more. Do you get caller ID on the remaining phone?
Caller ID is sent between the first and second ring, as well as the second and third ring. It may be that the other phones require that 2nd Caller ID signal and you've answered it elsewhere.
I am assuming that the other phones have a display and are Caller ID capable phones.
Can you post the model numbers of the phones that don't get Caller ID? We can then try to locate a user guide for them.
Sincerely,
Mark
Mark:
Thank you for your prompt reply. The ones that are not getting caller ID came as a set. (ATT) They are cordless 5.8 GHZ. The first unit is upstairs and has a large base where all settings are controlled (clock, announce, delete, etc.) The companion, (2nd phone that is included), is
downstairs and has a very small base (no settings can be made on this base.) Both of these
phones (master & slave) do not receive the caller id. It only reads incoming call, not displaying
caller #. However the phone in our kitchen (Uniden) is also a cordless, but is not a part of the above setand not the same company. It is not enabled to answer calls because the master upstairs is answering the calls, and only one phone can answer calls.
I unplugged the phone in the kitchen, (which is the only phone that displays caller id currently),
along with the slave that came with the set upstairs. I left the master upstairs plugged in.
I called our home phone on a cell and still no caller id on the master.
I plugged the other phones back in and tried again, and still no caller id on the ATT phones.
Only the kitchen phone downstairs displays our number. The # on the ATT phones that do not display caller id from the set are: SNEM 102235591 - Model 8 E59128.
Thank-you for your help.
Mary
I am unable to find documentation regarding the numbers you've given. On the main unit, is there a model number on the bottom? - Mark
