There is no sound coming from my computer though the volume control is right?

The buttons could not be working anymore that controls the volume on your TV and the part that controls the volume in your TV needs to be replaced.

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it

you might have to uninstall then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this

Make sure you have speakers switched on and connected to the GREEN socket on the computer. On the right of the taskbare, right click the little speaker Icon and open Volume Control. Make sure volumes are turned up on Volume control and Wave.

make sure the balance is set properly in the volume controls tab located by right clicking on the speaker icon in the lower right hand side in the startup tool bar

On the right stick, there are two metal pieces at the bottom of the stick. The right one is + for volume up, and the left is - for volume down.

Press the + one a few times with your finger as they are touch activated. Be careful though, as it can get loud very quickly. Play some music and set the computer volume to about half way. Then press the + speaker on the right hand side until you are happy with the volume.

1. Check your speakers if they're turned on and the volume knob is turned all the way up.
2. Go to Control panel>sound and audio devices.. Click on the "Audio" tab and make sure you see something inside 'default device' under soundplayback that doesnt say microsoft. If it's blank, click the dropdown arrow and choose the non-microsoft option. If it's blank and there's nothing to choose from, go to step 4.
3. Make sure the volume is turned up and not muted in windows. Click on Volume under sound properties and make sure it's not muted. You can also right click the speaker icon on the bottom right hand corner and click 'Open Volume control. all the balance levers should be in the middle and make sure none is muted.
4. Go to Start. Right click 'My Computer'. Click properties>hardware>device manager. If you see a question mark or exclamation mark for an entry that could be related to your audio device, that means you need to reinstall the sound driver.
If this is the case, you can tell me the make and model of the computer so we can look up the correct driver. If the sound card though didnt come with the computer, try reinstalling the cd that came with it.
5. If you dont see a yellow question mark, it's either the sound card inside your computer is not detected (could be loose or defective) or you need to repair windows.
