My external has stopped working- it also has an odd sensation when I pick it up rather like two identical magnet ends being held together. I only bough it 4 months ago and want to get the data from it!

Is the issue a power 1 or does it power up but your computer doesn,t regonized the harddrive within the external...have you tried a separate power supply/usb cable....or try a different usb port in another computer

Looking at auction pictures, I'm going to say that odds are the fuse is located in the main unit. You can pick up those tamper proof screwdrivers at Harbor Freight pretty cheap. Please make sure that you've properly discharged the unit before attempting any repairs.

When was your Kirby made? If you have an older Kirby, inside where the motor lies is a single or double magnet with a spring coil attached to it. Within that coil is a filament wire held together with a shiny disk at other end. This filament does go bad from time to time and needs to be replaced. This usually is not a do it yourself job. If you can find the proper filament, you might but usually there are several types and sizes, let your local distributor change it for you.

Out of 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19 pick up any 5 nos. to make a total of 50.

Several ways to do this. 1, 5, 13, 15 17 is one of them.

(1 x 5) + 13 + 15 + 17

Workings:

(1 x 5) = 5

5 + 13 + 15 + 17 = 50.

- You cannot add five odd numbers together to make 50. Five odd numbers added together will always be an odd number.
- You cannot add four odd and take an odd number away as this will also total an odd number.

Therefore 2 of the numbers must be multiplied as this enables you to effectively add four odd numbers together to total an even number.

TRY AND GET THE SENSOR AND MAGNET CLOSER TOGETHER.AND MAKE SURE THE MAGNET PASSES THE CENTRE OF THE SENSOR.MINE PASSES WITH A 3 TO 4MM GAP BETWEEN THEM

Our tv is magnitized by our surround sound base speaker what can we do.

Hello. Here are the steps:
1.put your hands in the form like you would if you are about rub your hands together for warmth
2.Put the magnet between both hands at the palm areas
3.rub your hands together and turn the magnet so that the north and south ends magnetize the TV simultaneously
4.make sure you know where the north and south ends are located on the magnet
5.Hint - The Constant switching between the north and south polarizations causes the magnet to equalize the magnetized areas on the TV returning it to it's original color!

External tank not filling

I recently encountered the same issue. First off, with the external tank installed is there an icon on the display panel indicating the tank is installed?

No? Then the two sensors are not picking up the magnets in the the "arms" on the back of the tank. It's a poor design for sure, on my unit the tank does not sit flush enough to the back of the AC, if I held the tank firmly to the back the icon would come on. I just used a bit of cardboard at the bottom of the support tray to press the tank firmly to the back of the AC.

Theory is as the external tank fills up, water will run into the "arms" and raise the magnets tripping the switch which tells the unit it needs emptying. But the magnets in the arms are not strong enough if they are not close enough to the sensors. So my cardboard solution lasted only one tank.

I ended up getting some flat neodymium magnets (that I scavenged out of a hard drive), and taped to the sensor that had the gap. I wouldn't recommend doing this to both sensors since it would eventually overfill, only one sensor needs to "trip" for the compressor to turn off.

If you answered yes to the first question (the bucket icon is there), then it's most likely the pump not working on the internal reservoir, or something related to that. Can't help you there...

I can't figure out how to adjust the screen position on this monitor!!

rotate the button don't push it it is the degaussing (magnetic remover) that you are pushing, just rotate the button and you will be able to adjust the settings.by pushing the button when you get to the item you want to select
