Hi, my ONKYO CR-545 no longer plays audio from my ipod nano when docked. It recognizes the ipod, charges it, changes tracks etc.. just won't do anything when i press play, The song title scrolls across the display but the track doesn't start. It will play from CD, DAB, Line, FM etc. just seems to be an ipod problem. Many thanks for thinking with me Annebeth

Hi Annebeth9, had the same problem with an ipod nano 5th gen.. After reseting the ipod with itunes (sorry i am from germany, in german its "wiederherstellen" in the version wndow beneath the "search for updates" button) everything worked fine again. These little electronic devices steal more of your time than you like, i am thinking of switching back to vinyl. Helmut from Berlin

Hi Annebeth9, i had the same problem with an ipod nano 5th gen.. Solved it by recvovering the ipod with itunes. Since i am using the german version of itunes i am not sure if recovering is the english word, its the button in the version window of itunes beneath the update button. Hope that helps. Scrappy little electronic time thiefs, we should all switch back to vinyl. Helmut from Berlin

CAN AN IPHONE 6 PLAY THROUGH MY ONKYO HT-S5100 AUDIO SYSTEM THAT HAS A DEDICATED IPOD DOCK

The included i-Pod dock is the DS-A1 and it is not compatible with any iPhone. It's compatible with the third (select versions) through fifth generation iPods. It can also work with the IPod nano (first and second generation), iPod mini and iPod Photo. On the Crutchfield product page, http://www.crutchfield.com/S-GQfUerwopyn/p_580DSA1/Onkyo-DS-A1.html, look at the Details tab for a complete list of compatible devices.

You can find this list also in the HT-S5100 manual (page 65) and the DS-A1 manual (page 6). The direct links to both of these manuals are http://filedepot.onkyousa.com/Files/own_manuals/HT-S5100_En_A.pdf and http://filedepot.onkyousa.com/Files/own_manuals/DSA1.pdf .

I wish that I had better news for you.

I just bought the ipod nano 6th generation and it will not charge in the Bose docking system....my old one charges with no problem.....is there a fix for this? The nano plays fine it just wont charge

If it is a different model iPod then it is likely the Bose dock does not support the newer model. Quite often changes such as from iPhone 3 to iPhone 4, Bose had to release a new dock. The speakers and music will still always work, but the support will be limited for charging. Unfortunately you will not be able to fix this, other than upgrade the dock, or go back to your old ipod.

Hello, I am sorry about your issue. When you plug in the Apple charging cable into the IPod are there any issues. Make sure that there no foreign objects inside the connector on the dock. Thank you, Onkyo USA

My Jamo i300 will not charge my new ipod nano (4th Gen).

not likely the new 4 gen Ipod has different pin set within its dock connector system for the video output which has made many 3rd party accessories no longer able to charge the ipod but it will still play music

Does the aj300D speaker dock charge and play the new iPod nano 4t

nano 4th does not support firewire anymore, best option is to bring your AJ300D back to where you bought it. Philips claim that nano 4th is supported is not true.

Nano shows song playing but nothing happens

Make sure your headphones are working properly by testing with your computer headphone jack.

Is the headphone port on the Nano loose?

Connect the Nano to your iPod dock and see if you can head audio through the docks headphone jack.

If the headphones work, and you can get audio out of the dock headphone port, then there is a problem with your Nanos headphone jack.
