The 4 holes are color coded. Red wire in first hole. White wires in either hole 2 or 3 and Grey wire in hole #4. I am counting holes left to right.

I have a 3 speed fan with a red, blue, black an white wires, how are the supposed to be wired with power. the wires go to a little black box that appears to just be wires with no circuit board

The BOX is a GE splicer - with 6 wires - 2 grey power wires, then the red, blue, black, and white from the fan motor. I have the same problem and cannot find another GE SPLICER 3 SPEED SWITCH for the fan. All switches that I have tried have 4 connections.........so a WIRING DIAGRAM would be GREAT!

Can anyone offer any help? I have tried every electrical store in the area!

Thanks

I'm trying to install a GE digital timer (model number 15086). The timer itself has three wires (red, black and white) and the light switch has two wires, one red and one grey. How do I hook this up? BTW,...

the extra white wire from timer goes to the group of white wire ganged together in rear of box. you need to connect a jump wire to tha group and lead to timer. grey wire goes to black. red to red.

What's the deal? Wont shut off or respond to thermostat. . .

Red= power........White=heat.............Green=fan.................(grey)-(yellow)=cool .....these are the connectons. Disconnect these wires from the thermostat and know that red/power is the only wire that send power to the thermostat, and the rest sends it back to the unit to call for whatever,, red--to . white for heat... red to green for fan .... &red to grey for cool! OK! Turn all your power on, and use a jumper wire from red / green for fan and see if the fan comes on! Then move the jumper wire from red to green , to red / to white for heat and the fan , wait for 3 minutes before removing and going to the next step. Then red /to grey for cool and check if the outside comes on. Either you have a wire touching past the insulations and making a connection, a bad thermostat ,oe excessive wire lead touching the next connection.Thank you very much!
