You need the printer/driver software. In your Apple system prefs they have a lost of printer/drivers available - you need to check if yours is on there, you might have to download from Canon.

Since buying my new mid-2013 Macbook Air (13-inch 256GB), my 8-year-old Canon Pixma iP6000D printer will complete only part of a complex document (like a webpage), whether wireless or wired. Simple...

Try printing to PDF and then printing the PDFs to the iP6000D. Make sure you're using the most recent drivers from Canon instead of Apple's. For what it's worth this problem was noted with CUPS drivers on that generation of iP Pixmas both in OS X and Linux. Given the age and the fact the most recent driver's designed for Snow Leopard, it might be time to move on to a newer printer.

Hi :) I'm trying to print on my Canon PIxma- mp480 to no avail

Hello
This can be due to a feeder wrong setting on the printer or on your PC: your printer tries to take paper from the back feeder, whereas your paper is on the front feeder....
try to check these settings in your PC and on your printer, and retry to print, hoping this helps

Canon pixma mp480 print driver not found in list for mac os 10.4.1

Have a look at the canon usa site:http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=238&modelid=17160#DownloadDetailActThis link should take you to the canon support page, let it load and it will come up with the driver download center. In the area titles "Driver/Software Selection"Use the drop down menu and select "Mac OS x"This will bring up a list of current drivers for the Mac.The most recent one for the your printer is:MP480 series Printer Driver Ver. 10.6.0.0 (Mac OS X CUPS)If there is also a problem with your scanner then you will also need:MP480 series Scanner Driver Ver. 14.8.1 (Mac OS X)Just make sure you look carefully before clicking the driver as there are also spanish versions on the list..I hope these help.Mike
