I have an active tmobile account & just bought a sidekick 3, but can't afford internet. How do I get past the "Waiting for Activation" screen & start using my phone?

You need to hold the menu button and the l key on your keyboard and the screen will clear and you will be able to call & text

Press the top left button and "L" key at the same time to by-pass that screen and allow you to use the regular phone functions.

try pressing the button that lookes like :
the three lines.. and l at the same time, but my sidekick is unlocked so im not sure if it will work wiht yours.

you have to go to and authorized t mobile retailer to register your phone or to activate it.

i assumes you didnt have a data plan on your
tmobile account, yet?

if thats a case, then you would need to have
a data plan to activated it appropriately.

otherwise, it wont be activation which means
you would have to press menu + L manually
to bypass it even time you have the waiting activation
on the screen.

Hi Press Menu (top left button) And then L this will get you past this.

FLIP THE PHONE OPEN AND PRESS AND HOLD THE MENU KEY WHILE PRESSING L ON YOUR KEYPAD THIS SHOULD BY PASS THAT SCREEN...ENJOY

my service provider said that is because it is waiting to be linked to the internet... in order to use it as a phone until then.... press and hold down L and the menu button for three seconds...and it will unlock the phone aspect but you still have to wait the time period for internet use...

Push Menu + L at the same time. It may take more then once. This speeds up the activation.

To speed up activation, hit menu + L at the same time.
