I was just given a 6842PE sylvania tv.
when i plugged it in and connected the satellite the screen is very fuzzy and has a black 1 in line straight down the middle of the screen. i can see the outline of whats on tv and hear the sound but no more than that

The 1inch black line is either a buffer board gone bad or the ribbon cable from the plasma screen to the buffer board, the snowy picture could be many things, including y-sus, xsus or tuner boards

This sounds like problems with VGA cables when a pin is not making good contact. Have to tried replacing the cable that connects the t.v. to the device giving the image?

the first question i will ask you is this.....does your TV set have an av-output?
if it does then make sure you plug the AV cords from the game in the following manner...........
the yellow cord is for picture display and make sure it goes into the yellow cord on your TV set.
the red and white cords are both for sounds of the left and right speakers on your TV set. try this connection and you are set to have fun with your game,
