SOURCE: I have a Bosch brute jackhammer, I need the tool

You can use an adjustable face spanner wrench to remove that cap. I don't remember the pin size but you can measure the holes and get the appropriate size. You can remove the whole plate with the armature by undoing the 4 cap screws. Prior to removing the motor plate you have to remove the handle plate from the axle that goes through the body. Undo the nut that holds the assembly on and slide it off. You can now remove the Armature plate. After removing the cap screws pull the assembly out about 1-2 inches. You will see the wires that go to the field attached to the brush holders. Remove the screw that holds these wires to the brush holders. You can then safely remove the whole assembly. This also makes it easier to remove that cap plug with the spanner wrench, because you can now put the whole assembly in a vise. I always heat around the cap with a torch before doing anything. Then I tap on the plug with a hammer a couple of times and voila it turns alot easier. Corrosion almost always builds up on this cap because of the different metals. (Steel and Aluminum respectfully)

Your hammer may have a broken connecting rod. To inspect this make sure you ping the cylider and body with marks so you line them up the same way. Then remove the 4 cap bolts that hold the cylinder to the body. Remove the cylinder and inspect the hammer cylinder and rod. If the connecting rod is not broken you will have to inspect the gears and pinions to make sure they are ok.

SOURCE: how to fix jackhammer it doesnt hammer.

Bosch hammer drill 11304 uses sds bits and is generally a good hammer. Usually only needs yearly (depending on use) lube with Bosch grease to keep it working well. No hammering usually means lack of lubrication or broken connecting rod on the hammer piston. Not easy to repair. Tackle only if you have lots of experience with Bosch or other complicated hammers. Parts are easy to find. Good luck.

H45sb hitachi moter run but hammer and stop how can i fix it

If pos 22 980-707 is broken it does not function , also if pos 35 is broken 932-815 then also the motor drives but no hammer , also if pos 8 is not moving 987-705 because the lubrication is not good anymore if started leaking and if that happens the piece and all your o-rings will be worn by heating up because thefront ofyour hammer must be air tight all the way , a demolition hammer is made for lasting long hours but leaking although it is still so small its in a few hours inside becomes to hot for the seals o rings and lubrication and then there are Discussions for to get a Service Kit (H 45Sb) - ( 987-712 ) the hammer is to old for economic repair by others some parts are not anymore available, i know it where good hammers , but marketing technical changes in weight, more
more speed and less vibrations and for 7 years max parts in stock (not sometimes 15 years as before) and over that time its all discontinued demolition hammers are averaged of use of 6 years by normal usage.
Lubrication is not the problem but in front its must airtight otherwise
is bad for your arms and shoulders because its build for timing when its airtight.

H45sb start but dont hammering

Or a 320825 CONNECTING ROD or worn striker / or second hammer this is a very high priority very critical peace because of its a 2 millimeter 2 short difference sometimes to measure it will not good reach each other because of the chicel. must can get an idle mode if there is no push and by Hitachi you never believe it it gets worn you should see the difference with new parts pos 12 until 25 (parts 24 and 18 are the high priority parts together) its not a good idea to service a hammer where gaskets seals or o-rings are not fully air-tight. then the o-rings are burning again in a very short time because the tool becomes inside dry and overheat if its starts leaking

Hitachi H65sb electric demolition hammer. Motor works OK but will only sometimes break concrete. The machine wil vibrate in your hand and appears that this energy is not transferring to the chisel point....

Could be a stuck impact bolt, try banging the chisel hard against the concrete and see if it makes a difference. If not it is probably an internal piston/cylinder fault. Take it to a repair centre. You can get a drawing from Hitachi's web site if you wish to do it yourself.

Jackhammer quit in middle of use

if it is an electric jack hammer the brushes in the motor maybe worn out. most ace hardware stores have a good selection of motor brushes. also check to see if the brush retension screw came loose this would also cause the same problem.
