It seems that this only has drivers for Windows XP, but you can try installing the XP drivers on windows 7.

Here is the link to download the drivers, make sure the scanner is not plugged in until after the drivers are installed. This may not work, but i have had to do this with other hardware and sometimes it does work.

Push and hold down the big button for a while until it beeps. This scanner has a feature to disable the confirm beep that gets activated if you hold down the scan button too long!

The barcode scanners are usually using ans Standard PS/2 or USB interface in the same way as keyboard, therefore you dont need an driver.
You would probably need to setup the barcode scanner according to the used connection/interface.

Did you ever get it to transmit the barcodes?
I'm having very much the same problem. Got the error 3 message first, then was told to delete the add on in manage add ons. Now i get an error 2.

switch n the head set, the blue light will blink continuously. in the phone menu go to as shown
menu----settings-------connectivity-----handsfree----new device---. then search and add it to the list . it will ask for the pass code which is '0000'. after that press ok and then start using the head set.
if things does go well you can switch off and on the phone and then repeat t above mentioned process.

I think after the installation of the scanner driver and the program you should check for the properties and then again restart the computer. if not re install the whole driver and program for the same. your problem would be solved

the best thing here is to download from web the manufactors web page is best if not then hunt for drivers and application software that works with the device

To pair your new device (opticom bt25r) to your mobile phone as follows

1. make sure you have charged your earpiece
2. switch it on by holding down the button on the side of it for a few seconds
3, a green light will flash, Keep hold of it till it flashes red then green, Then release
4. switch your bluetooth on your mobile phone goto search for new devices, When your mobile has found your earpiece it will ask you for a password
5. type in 0000, (factory settings),
6, your done, Happy driving!
