If you have a slow connection, it may be because you now have to re-download all the game data and items instead of having them stored in your cache. If it doesn't seem to get faster after playing for a little or if you have a faster connection like cable or fiber optic, you can always try another browser. Google chrome is supposedly a bit faster for java and some other scripting languages (what the game is coded in).
If you wanted to try Google Chrome, you can download it from:
www.google.com/chrome
It may take a little before you get used to it, however, it is a bit different than most other browsers.

I ended up loading the google chrome and it is working now! THX!
Every time is attempt to open scramble free on my iPad, it appears to be loading and updating and then immediately closes. How cani fix the problem?
