Seeing double on the left side of the screen red on top and blue on the bottom

The problem was imeadiate not gradually. While watching Nascar the letters across the top are blurred about the middle of the screen and separate for a complete second set of digits (in red) by the time you get to the left side. It's the same on the bottom, but blue. The hole picture is blurry on the left half of the screen.
