I have a G E fridge. it keeps showing P F and the alarm keeps beeping? and the door is open stays on? It is at least 10 years old .. Has a control panel and keeps blinking P.F.? Solved beeping problem.........Samsung SRS539HW . Have one of these and it is 6 years old. I had to replace the bottom hinge on the fridge side(right). Easy job but now constant beeping as if door is open, and light is intermittent. Found that there is considerable wear on the cable through top hinge of door and one of the wires from a magnetic reed switch in door had broken. I discovered this by shorting the two fine wires (white and pink/white) going to internals of fridge.No more beeping due to door opening and light now working correctly. Of course I no longer get a beep for a valid door open to long but cheaper than getting a refridgerator expert in.
