The date time stamp is permanent. Once its set and you take a picture it will stay on it even if you turn the time stamp off in the camera (this will prevent it from occurring to future pictures).
To remove it from the pictures you already have you can either crop the image so that the stamp no longer appears in the frame you want, or use a clone or blur tool in an image editing program to erase the stamp.
To turn it off in your model, press menu, use the side to side arrows to select the camera tab, then use the up or down arrows to select date stamp.
Use the left or right arrows to chose off instead of date or date and time.
Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.
Testimonial: "Thank you SO much. It worked. I'm sorry I hadn't known this before because I'd ruined the photos with that date stamp. Now I can continue. Thanks"
Hi,
You may turn on or off the Date/Time Stamp feature by following these steps.
I found these 3 simple steps in your Canon PowerShot SX30 IS User's Manual on page #60. Scroll down from the LINK and click on PSSX30IS_CUG_EN.pdf to open the pdf document. Other features are available for reading.
I hope this works for you. Kindly reply for further assistance. Good Luck!
