Hi, I have a Zanussi ZBF

Hi,I have a Zanussi ZBF 865 X oven. Recently it is making noise when the fan is on. When it starts there is just the sound of the fan but within seconds as it gets faster there is a rattling noise. When it is turned off the noise stops immediately as the fan blades start to slow down. Any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated?Regards

SOURCE: Rattleing noise when either oven is turned on

It could be a loose screw that has fallen from inside your back panel.... Be sure to turn off all power sorces before you access the panel to avoid electrical shock!

SOURCE: oven door zbf360x zanussi

Open the door half way, grasp it firmly and pull as hard as required using a slight side to side motion to release the hinges which are attached to the door.

There are then to nuts on the bottom of the door which when removed allows you to split the door in half.

The hinges have a little lever on them such that they can be jammed open against the door. Once the hinge hook is in the oven housing simply turn the latch the other way, stand back and have a beer.

SOURCE: I need to clean between glass plate and oven door

Hi,

The following worked on my zbf360x built in Zanussi.
First you need to remove the oven door. To do this open the door half way. On each hinge there are two small metal flaps. Lift both of these. Now with the door still half open pull hard on the door. You will find the hinges spring and if you release the pull now it will just spring back. When the hinges spring give an extra hard pull on one side and then the other each hinge should pop out.
Once you have the door off just remove the small screws on the bottom of the door to allow it to hinge open and clean the inside glass.

Hope this helps,

Zanussi oven zbf 360 + bulb blows repeatedly

bulbs blow from incorrect voltage in use or loose ground wires ( arcing out)
if they fail while the oven is on it is because the bulb construction glass is wrong
bulbs used in ovens need a special heated treated glass and are generally only available from the service agent
failing immediately on turning on indicates a bigger problem that the bulb so call in an electrician to test the system

Trip swich went when turned back on no power in oven at all

Hi intial problem will probably be a faulty heating element locatated behind the panel at the back. the zbf260 has no clock but if its a zbf 360 set the clock before the oven will function. otherwise the fault has damaged another component on the oven. which can be in order of most likley.fuse if on 13a supply/ thermostat/ selectorswitch/ thermal cutout/jw

Hello, I am having trouble with my built in Zanussi ZBF 360. When I turn the oven on to the fan symbol the 'on' light comes on and when I turn to the required temperature the heating light also appears. ...

If you cannot hear the fan going, then it is possible the fan is faulty, and the element has probably failed as well.
Both these components can be accessed by removing the panel at the rear of the oven compartment

Noise

It will be the external cooling fan that is causing the noise.
Probably worn beaqring or broken fan blade.
Normally, the only solution is to replace the fan motor.
It is located at the top of the oven, usually at the rear, but not in every case.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.

Oven not working - rest of appliance fine

It is most likely that the oven heating element has failed and will need to be replaced.

This not an overly expensive part to have replaced and should be much less than the cost of buying a new oven although you would need to compare actual costs in your area.

Zanussi zbf260x built-in oven keeps tripping out

Probably due to a fault on the oven heating element. Check continuity and earth with a multimeter if you can but it's odds on you will need a new heating element.

Zanussi zbf 760 (9 yrs old now)

This tutorial will show you how to check your Zanussi element and how to replace your Zanussi cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
  1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Zanussi manual.
  2. If you're Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
  3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.
