The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective flexible ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the camera body and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

Check all the flat cables that goes from its T'Con to display panel for loose contact. Re-set it at both ends once and check. Contact any service technician. Pyle PLCM4300WIR

The Green wire is a reverse trigger wire. It should be tied into the reverse light hot wire. This tells the monitor to turn on and switch to Video 2 so that it displays what is seen by the backup camera. When you take the vehicle out of reverse thus removing power from the green wire, the monitor switches back to normal driving mode. ( no video displayed ).

Hi, no display in camera mode but displays works when playing the tape back, thanks Andy

In your statement since the LCD is moving there's miniature wire or ribbon wire attached to the folded LCD display. From thousand times you folded the display, the tendency of that ribbon wire will be crack, so mini switch that enable or trigger the transfer mode will not respond. So better replace it with a new ribbons wires. or call service personnel to replace it for you.

What does the green/white wire connect to on my jensen vm9312hd? Says it is reverse +

Rear View Camera Input: The VM9313 features a composite video input and a green/white wire lead attached to the harness for connection of a rear view camera. If a rear-view video camera is connected, the unit is on, and the TFT monitor is retracted inside the unit, the TFT monitor automatically moves into the viewing position and Camera modes is selected upon shifting into Reverse gear. When shifting into Drive gear, the TFT monitor is retracted back inside the unit. If the monitor is already in a viewing position and in display mode, the monitor automatically switches to Camera mode upon shifting into Reverse. When the reverse driving stops, the monitor returns to its original input display mode. You can choose for the monitor to display a Mirror mode image or a Normal mode image from the rear-view camera.
