I have a new computer and have lost the cd to download pictures. What can I do?

You should still be able to download the pictures by either putting the memory card in your computer's card reader (if you have one) or by plugging the camera into the computer by USB.

Once you do that Windows should pop up a message asking you if you want to import them. You can either do that or copy them manually in My Computer.

Alternatively you can get the drivers and software that came with the disc from:
http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_a_series/powershot_a95#DriversAndSoftware

You'll just need to select your OS version.

Please leave feedback if this was helpful.

Need to know how to download pictures from camera to computer. I have a Canon Power Shot A95

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I have a new computer and have lost the software so I can download pictures to the computer. Please advise

A lot of people assume that they must use the cable and sofware that came with the camera in order to download their photos. The problem is that the cable/camera way is very problematic.
This link outlines a solution to that lost cable, lost software disc, or computer that just fails to recognize the camera.

Trouble with downloading photos

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. The card reader doesn't care what camera took the pictures, so you can use it with any camera (assuming the card itself fits).

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Canon ZoomBrowser or any other photo cataloging program.
