My 65 will not stay on. 2.2

yes when either of the two Pico fuses F9A04 or F9A05 fail its caused by the convergence IC. replace the IC and both pico fuses should restore normal operation in most cases.

I replaced the STK chips and one pico fuse that was blown on the input power board (the fuses and resistors near the STK chips are fine). I turn the power on, no screen and I get sound for 1 second, then...

A blink of 4 times is an error code that there is no vertical deflection. There may still be a problem with the + or - 15 volt supplies. This error is generate when the vertical deflection pulse is missing. there might be a problem with ic 8003 wich is the vertical drive ic. this chip generates a signal witch is detected by transistor q 8001 check pin 3 to see if you have 4 volt stop signal

TH-50pz80U standby light blink 10 times.TV wont turn on.

Fault in the main board and the power supply is OK and the mP IC is trying to switch on but has feedback errrors making it switch off.
So check for possible short in the drivers, short in capacitors or a faulty drive IC.

Green light comes on then goes right back off.

The TV indicates an error code 22 (short circuit protection). Check 2 STK392-570 convergence IC for shorts and 5amps pico fuse for open. I usually replace both STK's.

The green timer light flashes when i plug in the tv, after hitting power the timer light comes on for about 4 sec then goes out. Tv does not power up, the error code it blinks is 2 blinks a pause and 2...

MODEL NUMBER WT-46809:

2,2 is the error code for short protection.

The most common reason for this is one of the 2 pico fuses that protect the convergence circuit is blown. Changing the fuses will not help! They are green in color and soldered into the middle circuit board and are F9a04 and F9a05----look like resistors but are 5 amp fuses.

99% chance if one or both are blown---you have to have someone change the STK-392-570 convergence IC'S that this set uses----the IC'S can be purchased on Ebay for under 14 dollars and the same seller sells the pico fuses 5 @ 2.95.

The best thing to do here if you or someone you know is able is to unplug the set and look for the fuses---middle board towards the back---there are 5 of them and the two closest to the back of the row are for the convergence IC----If someone checks them (like testing any other fuse) you will know--if either or both is blown--the convergence IC got them.

I have start to finish, step by step instructions and photos of the fuses etc----If you or someone you know can solder and is handy--you may be able to do the repair yourself.

If not, shops usually charge 300-400 for this kind of repair in this set.

LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED ANY ADVICE or help.

Mitsubishi WS-65611 IC's replaced

this set has a self diagnostic feature; when you turn it on and the green light goes out--push menu and device(or input) together for 5 seconds. the led for power should blink an error code. The most common is 2, pause and 2---this means something is shorted. If the set functioned before you changed the stk--you may have a new IC that is shorted--this IC is protected by two pico fuses usually marked as fao4 and fao5----they are about 3 inches behind the IC and are marked 5 a(they are green in color and do not look like fuses) also check all the 3.9 ohm blue resistors in front of the Ic--if any are white in the middle they are gone and the new IC got them. you did not remove the board? you tilted the entire chassis up to get at the IC? take a good look to make sure you did not pull any plugs loose---check for the error code first and let me know what it is. Best way to do this repair is to remove the entire board from the plastic frame---takes a little longer but is safer way to get it done. If one of the pico fuses is blown you will check it just like a regular fuse--an open fuse will suggest short and the set will shut down with 2, pause. 2 errror code.

Have you check the fuse in line with the power supply? Or it is possible that your lamp is blown. That is what happened to mine.

Power light blinks

I would start with C869 a 2.2 Uf at 200 Vdc in the power supply. I have replaced a fair share of those in these sets. Of course the first thing to check would be the pico fuse in the power supply regulation circuits F860 a 4 Amp Pico Fuse and if it is blown, you will have to replace Q801 the Regulator IC Str-Z4214 Part # 23906369. If you're not that good at soldering and measuring capacitance and resistance, this would be a job for a more experienced tech.
