It may be the internal backlight that is failing. You can take a flashlight and hold it close to the screen, move the flashlight all around the screen and check if you can see anything. The display will be dark, but you should be able to make out the image that is there with the flashlight technique. If you can see an image on-screen, then your backlight has failed and you will need to replace the monitor. Weather or not you see an image is not a critical issue, but a tool to verify if the backlight is off or some other issue is causing the problem.
Note, it may be difficult to detect an image on the un-light display, for example if you have a dark image as your desktop background. So make sure to fully scan your display (top to bottom, and left to right covering the entire screen) with the flashlight technique in order to see any image on-screen.

My ProView 19" flat panel lcd monitor goes black 30 seconds after boot. If I turn it off and on it comes on and then goes off after 30 to 50 seconds? Can I fix this?

I askedd this last time but you did not answer. Is the monitor located in a well vented area? Sounds like the monitor has been in a area of poor circulation and has reached a point where it overheats very easily. Try putting a small fan behind it to see if it causes it to stay on longer.

Screen goes black

The video adapter board is what controls the monitor. If you are going to replace a board that would be the one.

Proview Pl926wbi

This is an inverter board problem. The inverter supplies the high voltage and frequency to run the CCFL backlights. The board has a sensing circuit to shut down the output if too much current is going to the backlights or it will shut down if the transistors overheat. I have replaced transistors on some boards with higher rated transistors and they have worked great for years. Sometimes it is just a cold solder joint on the inverter board. Replacement boards are expensive but not too difficult to replace. Repair requires some ability with electronic boards and should not be attempted if you do not posess the skill. You could end up damging other parts that cost more.
