Tv/dvd problem i just bought a new 32 inch hdtv (samsung) and i hooked up my new dvd player. the dvd player works fine but how do i switch the tv over to the dvd player? please help!

Just make sure you hook up the wires to the correct plugs. They should be colr coded - red and white for audio and yellow for video. The sockets on the TV will have the same color code. If not, its just a matter of trying various combinations. If nothing works, then try using a different cable.
I figured it out,
The solution to my problem was to update my video cables for my new HDTV.
I found out through trial and error that I can only have one Anolog device hooked up to the TV because with two Anolog devices hooked up the same way it must confuse the TV somehow making one of the inputs showing up in Black and White, So I purchased the color coded AV jacks and everthing works like a charm now.
No sound when playing DVD hooked up to Samsung 32" TV.
the player is fine when used on another TV
