My neighbor bought a 32"

Unless the tv has a VGA input, or the laptop has a HDMI output, I am afraid you are going through too many conversions to make this work.

I have a samsung 32 inch LCD HDTV and trying to hook up to Pioneer DVD player. There are three colors of wires to connect the DVD to the TV. I get the sound(audio) but not the video. It just shows black...

Just make sure you hook up the wires to the correct plugs. They should be colr coded - red and white for audio and yellow for video. The sockets on the TV will have the same color code. If not, its just a matter of trying various combinations. If nothing works, then try using a different cable.

Hi, I just purchased a Samsung series 3 330 model#LN40A330 I'am having problems with the AV inputs on back of television. I hooked up a DVD player to Component 1 it works fine Then I hooked up Nintendo...

I figured it out,
The solution to my problem was to update my video cables for my new HDTV.
I found out through trial and error that I can only have one Anolog device hooked up to the TV because with two Anolog devices hooked up the same way it must confuse the TV somehow making one of the inputs showing up in Black and White, So I purchased the color coded AV jacks and everthing works like a charm now.
