My TRU9485 answering machine use to work great, but now only annuonces a few seconds of our message, then disconnects whomever is calling. Checked all options in book to be sure I wasn't on "Announce Only", and even asked Uniden for help, but not resolved yet.
Any help???? do I need a new base unit?
my answering machine does not answer after 4 rings--that's how it's set up. The phone rings and rings on an incoming call, but the answering machine doesn't pick up. Pat Adams
Unplug your unit and allow it a few minutes to reset it's self. than call it using a cell phone and see if it does the same thing. If so check you menu option and make sure that the anserwing machine is not set up to only record for a certain period of time before disconnecting the call.

go to the trouble shooting section. it will tell you how to reset your handset from the base.
also it tells you why your messages are not complete.
Please remind your callers to leave a breif message. also clear some one the old messages your memory may be ful whitch will cause it to cut off the caller.
