First of all, DO NOT take any more photos with the memory card.
Take the card out of your camera and connect the card to your computer via a card reader.
Next, download a photo recovery utility that will recover your pictures with this software:
Photo Recovery for Windows
Photo Recovery for Mac

Remember - Do NOT write anything back to your memory card until you can recover the files safely!

1. Put this digital camera aside in case that any new photo will rewrite your deleted photos.
2. Plunge this camera to your computer.
3. Download a deleted photo recovery freeware to your computer and start to retrieve all your deleted photos back:
http://blog4mark.blogspot.com/2012/12/photo-recovery-after-delete.html
In fact, this freeware has ever successfully saved all the inaccessible data of my friend off from his camera. So, I believe it can also work successfully on your camera memory card, too.
Simply read more information of this freeware here:
http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/photo-recovery.html
Step4. Save and back up all the restored photos on a different memory card or drive in case of data recovery failure.
PS: If you really don't want to encounter the similar data recovery problems, you'd better back up everything important all the time.
Good luck!

Hello,
you should remove your memory card from the camera, then insert it into a usb card reader attached to a personal computer.
Then you should download and install on the PC a recovery software like this:
http://www.z-a-recovery.com/digital-image-recovery.htm
follow instruction in the linked webpage to recover your pictures.

Other similar programs you may want to try are:
http://www.pcinspector.de/smartrecovery/info.htm?language=3
or:
http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec
hope this helps, bye

I have a insignia 7.0 mega pixel...I took 50 pics

I don't have your camera, and don't know what kind of memory card you have, but many memory cards have a "lock" switch right on the card, easy to flick by accident.

I accidently hit the format option on my Nikon D50 and it deleted all my photos. I was wondering if there was a way of getting them back?

Sorry....format completely erase the pics with no hope of retrieval. If you had simply deleted them, then retrieval software could have helped.

Deleted pictures

There is no way you to mass deleted all pictures by just touching the screen. You must first display the pic you want to delete, then press the Trash Icon, then select yes on the screen, so accidental pic deleting is very hard to do.

I believe your pics are still on the camera, else the camera is defective.

Deleting pics

Hi. I don't know if you accidentally changed something, but I would take all the pictures off. Download them to a pc then format the card. Then, reset the camera back to manufacturer specs. That would fix it.
