Bricked psp 3001 - Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console

You should have not installed ChickHen in your PSP 3001 since there are no known ways so far, not even by Dark Alex, to fix it from "Brick"-ing. YOur attempts to remove the battery and so on to fix it is futile because even Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick won't work on those versions of PSP.

If you intend to buy a new PSP, either buy those Slim that is version 2000 and those that are NON (remember NON) TA088v3 MoBo. From this MoBo onward to PSP 3000s, all is unhackable and cannot be fixed from Brick.

Your psp might be bricked.You must ask an expert to repair it in a psp shop or electronics shop or in sony service center.

I think ur son's psp is bricked(firmware or the software needed it to work) has been damaged...In this situation the only thing u could do is contact sony and give the psp to get it fixed...

try to turn it on using the ac adapter
try to do power cycle by removing the battery and then holding the power switch on the on possition for 15 seconds
if this does not work it might your board needs replacement

the only way to do that is to remove the flash mem from the pcb and reflash it. which is next to impossible. or get an eeprom reader and flasher. what kind you would need for a psp i have no clue. i never had one.

So you having crashed firmware on your PSP.

Try this (WARNING!! not recommended for modded OR homebrewed condition e.g. like m33. Only PSP 1001, 2001, 3001. it may cause bricked):
1. Go to http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/SystemUpdates/PSP
2. Read the update guides.
3. Download it.
4. After the download finished, just follow the instructions given there.
