You should send it to them, it absolutely sounds like the computer is overheating which would be the cause of a faulty fan. Make sure you back up all of your information prior to sending the computer out, as they won't hesitate to reset the computer back to its factory settings. Continuing to use the computer in its current state could cause more permanent damage to the computer, so back it up and send it out as soon as possible.

Hi. I have a Vaio laptop that worked fine. Now it

Is the laptop getting very hot if so then the laptop is turning off because of this. You will need to get it cleaned out around the fan, if you are still getting the same problem after this you could ues one of these USB cooling fan stands. i use one with my acer6530g when i am working with it for hours at one time. hope this helps.

My vaio vgn-cs110e doesnt power up, no lights on adapter and on laptop. took out internal battery and paced back in and it powered up.woke up this morning and it wont power up again. what can i do to fix...

remove the battery and power cord then hold the power button in for 10 seconds to clear the power management. if this does not resolve your issue, you will need a new battery for the system or inspect the power socket for damage.

if the socket is damaged, it can cost aroudn 20-50$ for a new one plus cost to repair where ever you you take it. If the socket appears fine, the battery is probalby the cause. replacements cost upwards of 100$USD

Vaio computer problem

You could have a faulty fan and/or dust clogging the fan and heat-sink assemble. This is the most likely cause of the laptop shutting down. When the CPU overheats it goes into thermal shutdown and if this problem is not fixed, eventually the CPU will fail.
Check the fan to see it it spins freely and check if the fan works when the laptop is powered up.
If the fan and heat-sink is ok, then to give the laptop addition cooling then purchase a laptop cooling pad and place the laptop in this pad (These pads have cooling fans and helps cool the laptop).

My Sony CS11 keeps shutting down randomly. Please

There's a very good chance it's a thermal shutdown, caused by dust, lint and hair clogging the heat sink. If you have a can of compressed air, blow some in where the warm air comes out on the laptop (do so from a few inches away at first and see whether dust starts coming out of the fan at the bottom, so that you don't force dust deeper into the case). You may be able to remove most of it that way. I also masking tape a square of used clothes dryer fabric softener sheet over the fan intake once it's clean (don't cover it with tape) to filter out dust and especially lint and hair - change it when it looks dusty. It really helps.

I've sony vaio vgn-cs110e purchased from US before 9 months, it works fine till today but today when i turn on the notebook it stats normally and also i can work normally on it but suddenly after 5 minutes...

You have to tell us the error message that it shows when it turns off. And if it is not showing any message and just die to black screen, then its a motherboard problem.
