Denon AVR 486 with a Subwoofer DSW 76 Subwoofer power is on you can here it power up and off. No sound is coming through the subwoofer All of the other speakers are working. This happened before and somehow I reset the subwoofer. Forgot how I did this. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the sub has an auto power mode, hence why it switches to red (off), so your system will not detect it. If there is any control to switch it on all the time do so and try it again. It must be green all the time during the test.

In order to ensure output to your subwoofer: make sure the subwoofer is connected to the subwoofer out of your amplifier and make sure that your amplifier/receiver is set to output multi channel sound

Page 10. The S-302 uses a proprietary D-Sub25 system cable to the DSW-S302 subwoofer. Don't know if or why it has more than 2 active conductors. The other speakers have removable cable ends so they might work just fine.

There are four possibilities that the subwoofer doesn't gives any aoutput. They are:

• Subwoofer's power not turned

on.

•The "Subwoofer" setting at

"Speaker configuration" is set to

"No".

•The subwoofer is not properly

connected.

•The subwoofer's volume is
turned off.
Go to its manual setupscreen, come to speaker setup, speaker confuguration, come towards Sub Woofer, select "Yes" and press OK.

What's the make and model of the subwoofer? It sounds like it's a passive (unpowered) speaker.

Get a powered (active) sub.

HI,

Disconnect all of your speakers(subwoofers)then turn the receiver on. If it still does it, then bring it into service. If not, that you have a short somewhere probably the main board and there are no home remedies for this.
