This sounds like a loose connection. If you can press on the back of the lid and it flickers or stops flickering, then it's definitely a connection problem. You will need to take the bezel around the screen off, the screws are hidden under small sticky tabs or the small rubber bumpers. Then take the screen loose and check the connection on the back. Replace the tape on the cable, if there is any.

Since you checked the connections and their good, the only thing left is the screen. Most likely the backlight is going out, unfortunately, the screen is a sealed unit, and screen replacement is your only option.

My screen flickered when I first got my S6240 laptop. It didn't occur with movement so I knew it wasn't a connection issue. I called Fujitus support. Not helpful. went to the motherboard website and downloaded the latest drivers for the motherboard integrated video card. After installing the drivers, the flickering never occurred again.

My Fujitsu LIFEBOOK N3430 Notebook does not boot up the screen is blank

Remove the battery for 5 minutes, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds, wait 5 more minutes, put battery back in and see if everything works now. It should. This usually works.
If it doesn't, you may have a faulty memory chip causing you the black screen.
You can try removing one at a time to see if it corrects the problem.
Lastly, the ribbon cable from screen to motherboard can become piched and non responsive.

take the batt out the sys. then put the charger. wait 3 min after that turn your sys on.
without the batt. if it turn on. your batt is damaged. if it dont turn on without the batt and
just the power cord is there. then your power suply node is broken or just no good.

Flickers on cold startup after 5 min then goes away in 2-3 min.

I had same problem. Tech's said the power was noisy. I cleaned up the power but the TV still did exactly as you describe. Problem will progressively get worse with longer bouts of flickering. I was under warrenty and sent the TV back. After 3 months I am still waiting for a repalcement.
