There is a 5 min. delay on this sytem once you turn on the heater or pool sweep. During this delay you cannot turn off filter pump. Hope this helps.

Lemon tree has blossoms but never lemons

Just wait, sometimes it takes time for the lemon to grow. Take care, give time to time water and other necessaries to the plant.

We just bought the 4000 gal/hr Intex pump to replace the smaller one that came with our pool. It had lots of power and good water flow for an hour or so, then started decreasing steadily. It seems to have...

I suspect that debris may have clogged the new pump. the only solution is to open the pump chamber and inspect. Flushing does not work.
You may need to repeat this process several times until you get the pool clear. Be sure to utilize any pre filter strainers that you have.

The filter wasn't changed for a couple of weeks and lots of leaves fell in our pool, I changed the filter put more salt but the pool water is getting greener and greener every day, what can I do? Intex...

Shock your pool ... take it to about 20 ppm and run the filter 24 hours a day. Brush the sides. When the pressure goes up 10 lbs over fresh start pressure, backwash or clean your cart as appropriate. Is your salt cell calling for more salt? Salt is persistent in the water (like CAL, salt doesn't just go away. The only way you loose either is by splash out and/or backwash.) If you dont know the level and your cell will not tell you, get tghe level checked at your pool place. You should have around 3200 ppm salt. Dont expect your salt system to keep up with the green stuff when the green stuff is established. You MUST use dry or liquid CL to overcome. You MUST brush the pool sides and bottom. You must run the filter 24 hours.

Between the green stuff and the sun, the CL your cell is making is consumed almost as fast as you make it.

Get your Cyanuric acid level to 80 ppm.

I hope this helps you ... Thanks for your interest in FixYa.com

CLOUDY WATER

I too have this problem after treatment for algae, especially if I got a day or two without running the pump, it starts to get mildly green. After adding the algaecide, it kills the algae, but leaves what I call the white dead floating...it takes several days for this to phase out.

If you aren't already doing so, put 3" tablets in the pump basket housing, that helps dramatically. Put a pair of knee-high pantyhose (one inside the other), on the return inside the pool. (you will be amazed what it catches after a few days). Also you can try some "clarifier" to help clear up the cloudiness.

I'm no pool expert, but have dealt with the cloudiness myself. Through trial and error, have learned that cloudy water doesn't necessary mean dirty water. It will clear within a day or two if you are keeping stabilizer tablets in pump basket and using shock once a week. And run the pump for about 8-12 hours a day, it will clear up quicker. And to me, using the pantyhose is an extra-filter and it catches the 'gunk' that the sand in the filter isn't catching. (it can't possibly get everything). Be sure to backwash your pump frequently too.

Hope this helps at least some. Good luck!

Will not pump when it has a filter in it

filters are too good for pump system.

These pool pumps seam to over heat fast, no quick fix.

* Try getting more air flow around pump.
* Only use pump when using pool or near by.
* Use a pool cover - will help stop dirt/rubbish getting into pool - less to filter.

Leaves in the skimmer line and its plugged

Is the obstruction on hte suction side or supply side of the pump?

Either way, you can disconnect the pump, and work from there. If the pump was installed correctly there shgould be unions ( fitting that can be reconnected on the pump suction and supply. If not, you can cut the pipes a few inches from the pump and then shorten the remainder to acomodate the length of the union. Glue these in place follow the instructions on the glue can.

Try using a water hose with the water on from the direction of the pump to the pool. see if this does the job. Leaves should be able to be pulled through by the oumop, I suspect somthing larger. Do you have a strainer on the suction line? Have you checked the pool filter?

I would check the filter first. Why do you think the problem is a clogged line? How do you know the pump is performing? Does it run a Spa, and nbot the pool?
