I have a panasonic th-42pz800a and it wont turn on, all that appears is a flashing red light where the green light is by the button on the tv

Hi,
Flashing red light is an error code, please count how many times red light is flashing after long pause and let me know to diagnose possible cause of problem.

I have the same problem with my TV. I'd been watching it for about an hour when the picture suddenly disappeared and it looked as though it had gone into standby mode, although the red light is flashing.

There are 7 red flashes in a row. Can you please help? I can't find anything in the manual about what this means. I've switched it off at the power and let it rest, but when I switched it back on the light continues to flash.
