Start with the easiest thing first !
1) jump start the battery from you automobile, or install a charger for an hour. This will tell you wether you battery or connections are good.
If it started with the jump, before you replace a battery:
2) clean the cable ends and make sure cable hardware to battery posts are good and clean.
If it started with the jump, then you know the fuses are good.
If it did not start with the jump or cleaned and charged battery,
3) check the in-line fuse. Located between the key switch and the solenoid, in the wiring harness, normally behind the firewall behind the engine, or in front of the dash close to the fuel tank (if the battery is under the seat)
4) some Sears tractors use a 'relay' also located on the firewall.
Note: for now, let's see how this works. Let me know if you need further assistance. It can get more complicated, but let's keep it simple for now. rwvanlue
