I expect it has 4" duct exhausting to outside? It's possibly restricted with lint, either at the louvered opening, or in the pipe itself. Spiral plastic vent is particularly restrictive and captures more lint than smooth sheet metal pipe. A restricted exhaust/limited air flow will likely trigger a filter message.

sounds like its blocked with fluff somewhere and your element could be wet take off the back and check your element and if water around it you need to compleatly clean out your filters and down where the condenser is then leave it for a day or two to compleatly dry the element
hi i have a ctd40 mine wouldent go a few years ago on the heater i had three stats on one of them there is a tiny hole i pushed a sewing needle in hole it reset the stat you can see if you look at bottom of stat it might be concave so pushing it out set it again dryer then worked pull plug first
I had this issue and the answer above about tipping your dryer / cleaning the condenser worked a treat for me. So thank you to whoever posted it. And don't forget to clean your filter, bottom front, regularly. I keep forgetting this and am sure it probably contributed to the problem.
